OOFT!…I want that
This piece of upcycled art is called ‘Love/hate’ and was created by my talented friend Malcolm Begg, who has just set up his new blog, OOFT!…I want that, dedicated to interior inspiration and where you can also find more of his work. Plus, he’s going to be setting up an online shop soon too. Click on the photo and check out all things that make you go…OOFT!
Responsible for one of my favourite albums of 2011, Space Is Only Noise, Nicolas Jaar is one of the acts that i’m really looking forward to seeing at Sonar next month. Check out and download his new Essential Mix here.
RIP The Queen of Disco, Donna Summer
And from the Stag’s birthday celebrations last Friday to an altogether different birthday party last Saturday…my niece’s first birthday.
Stag Espresso birthday celebrations last weekend
Gorgeous weather and scenery in Dunkeld, where I was for a conference today. In fact the weather was so nice that the conference organisers decided to hold the afternoon sessions outside in the sun - it was like being back at school when the teachers would sometimes hold lessons outside on nice days.
Sam Sparro feat. Roisin Murphy - Last Night
New music from Roisin Murphy - well, kind of - she features on this track from Sam Sparro’s forthcoming album, Return to Paradise. It’s not instantly grabbing me, but perhaps it’s a grower - it only really starts to kick in around 1’43…what we really need though is some new pure unadulterated music from Roisin in 2012…still, we have this to look forward to at some point.
